The reason people do it is really understandable and fair. Average players? Shouldn’t be banned at all. People who made multiple account solely for crown farming are 100% in the wrong and should be banned. Kingsisle should put ads on those pages, that way they receive some return on their generosity. I wasn’t even aware of it until people mentioned that they’re getting banned for it. Summary: Nobody wants to steal kingsisle’s money, they did it because it eliminates 10 minutes of tedious work after playing an already tedious game. And yet, this is relatively harmless compared to other things, and I think warnings would suffice. They have to enforce things or worse exploits will become more commonplace. But I wouldn't say they were being completely unreasonable if they were to start banning over it.

But as we already saw, those "free" crowns aren't free. Otherwise, they gain as much from the trivia as the players, whether or not you do it quickly or slowly.ĭid it potentially decrease sales of crowns and memberships, and will that improve now? Perhaps, as some who used the bot may not continue to use trivia now that it takes the normal amount of time. Now, if the bot somehow prevents the ad revenue because it prevents them from loading in, yes. Some may have taken that to extremes in farming multiple accounts daily and gifting elixirs and packs, but that is technically possible to do by choosing all the answers the legit way. The bot did not allow any player to gain anything that another player couldn't. The trivia bot was not quite like that though, and does not do all the things you say it does. "Outlawing" bots for things like farming for items and reagent purchasing is reasonable to maintain some equality between players that can therefore only gain advantages through spending more time (good for ki) or having marginally better reaction time or internet speed. Those terms, in turn, should not be unreasonable.
I do think players should abide by the terms they agree to.
